You can get a more ...
You can get a more visual representation on what the? negative pressure in the chamber looks like by viewing the marshmallow demo of the MVS-31. You can view this demo by looking under the "Video Responses" section.

With a chamber ...
With a chamber vacuum sealer, air is literally vacuumed away from the entire chamber, bag and all. There is no positive pressure involved. The lid is literally kept down by the vacuum created. The chamber lid on this model is not mechanically closed. It is kept down entirely by the vacuum created in the chamber. I? have used chamber vacuum sealers where the seal in the lid did not properly seat itself and the lid would not stay down.

It actually doesn't ...
It actually doesn't suck. It blows. The chamber is positively pressured, which pushes the bag around the product. Internal bag air? gets released outside the chamber, then sealed. If you sucked the air out of the chamber, the bag would blow up. It's a mechanical way the chamber is kept closed. You have it backwards.
